Once accepted into the
5 Year Program, students work with their academic advisor and Graduate
Program Coordinator to determine a specific Course Plan of Study.
Students begin taking graduate classes in their senior year at CNU.
The five-year degree programs
offered by Christopher Newport University give prospective students
an opportunity to earn both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master of
Science or Master of Arts (Teaching). They provide a solid, practical
background in specific fields of study. Students also develop skills
required for immediate employment within the private sector, state,
federal and other governmental agencies. A graduate degree increases
the potential for career opportunities, job satisfaction and lifetime
earnings.
The programs are flexible
enough to fit the interests and needs of a wide variety of students
and are designed for students planning to pursue a Ph.D., teachers
wanting a Master's Degree with licensure, or students interested
in careers with private, state, or federal governmental agencies.
